Retinal Detachment

Injuries causing retinal detachment can cause permanent loss of photoreceptors and vision. EyeCRO provides models of transient or sustained retinal detachment to examine the effects of test agents on promoting reattachment and/or preventing cell death. Endpoints include OKT quantification of visual acuity and contrast vision, Scotopic and Photopic ERG, OCT analysis of retinal thickness, and quantification of H&E thickness and TUNEL staining.
